Evergreen Country Club Wedding

Jake and Annie’s wedding took place at the Evergreen Country Club in Haymarket, VA. Located just forty minutes from Fairfax, VA, and under an hour’s drive from Washington DC, Evergreen Country Club offers breathtaking views of Bull Run Mountain, acres of perfectly manicured rolling landscape, and is a perfect venue not only for weddings but for corporate events and holiday celebrations.

The Inn at Evergreen served as the staging point for the day. This circa 1826 Manor House is included in the National Registry of Historic Places and serves as the centerpiece of Evergreen Country Club. The 11-bedroom mansion provided plenty of room to get ready, relax, and share a few laughs before the wedding ceremony.

The vow exchange took place in the Stone Garden Ceremony Venue.

This unique area features a garden-like area with the Bull Run Mountain in the background and is surrounded by a stone wall. Jake and Annie exchanged vows they had written themselves and the active-duty Marine Officers had a processional thru a sword arch.

The reception took place in the Clubhouse which is located a few steps from the Inn and the Stone Garden Ceremony site.

Among the highlights were the toasts which we absolutely hilarious! Annie’s family has a very unique wedding tradition in which newlyweds are presented a stuffed goat which they must proudly display in their home for good luck. Thus far, all three couples who have done so have been married collectively for over five decades.

Guests thoroughly enjoyed the Shoe Game which was hosted by both the Best Man and the Man of Honor. These two have a future in stand up should times ever get tough.

The rest of the night was literally a non-stop party! Guests were dancing, singing, or both all night long! The couple chose a handful of must-play songs and the rest of the playlist was an open format which allowed us the freedom to play off the crowd and keep everyone engaged.
