The Wedding Ceremony
Linwood Estate offers couples several options for their wedding ceremony location. On this gorgeous fall afternoon, Tara and Mark chose the north lawn with the magnificent mansion serving as their backdrop. The north lawn is beautifully landscaped and is the most popular ceremony spot on the property.
For their ceremony music, the couple chose to have live musicians to handle the prelude, processional, and perform one song during the ceremony. With our experience in providing live instrumental and vocal sound reinforcement, we managed the sound for the performance and the recessional song which was “One Night Town” by Ingrid Michaelson.
Cocktail Hour
Cocktail Hour took place on the patio area on the backside of the mansion. The beautifully landscaped gardens, mature shade trees, and the valley view make this the perfect location for guests to mingle, explore, and to partake of refreshments from the outdoor bar.
Musical selections for the cocktail hour were a mix of top 40 and alternative rock with a sprinkling of Motown and The Beatles mixed in.
Reception
The wedding party appeared to thunderous applause to the song “Levels” by Avicii. Mark and Tara chose to have their First Dance immediately after their Grand Entrance to the song “I Get To Love You” by Ruelle.
The couple's guests came to party and they packed the dancefloor early and never left until the final song. Tara and Mark used our phone planning application to craft a dance set that included a diverse mixture of genres and eras including Top 40, Boy-Bands, R & B, and Alternative Rock.
Like far too many brides and grooms, Tara and Mark’s wedding was impacted by Covid-19. The couple took it all in stride and one of the highlights of the celebration was the dance Tara shared with her father. The audience was in tears from laughter as they danced to a personally written song that was performed to “Baby It’s Cold Outside”. In this case, the lyrics were rewritten and the title changed to “I’m a Corona Bride.”
